Expatriates

Compiled by Joanna Parfitt and Michelle Reese - September 2000

There seems to be a new expatriate site starting up every day. Some concentrate on a specific country, others on an aspect of daily life. Many are run on a voluntary basis, but there are those that are associated with relocation, publishing or accountancy firms. Few are all things to all people, and often the volunteer led sites are best of all. Most offer a true insight into life abroad and there are plenty of useful articles, links and information. Those affiliated with a company may have an agenda and want to showcase their own product, so be prepared for a biased view. Many offer the chance to share news and views and support worldwide among the unique international community to which we all belong.
